Code: Red Suit is the ninth feature film by Jake Kasdan, who previously collaborated with The Rock on Jumanji: Into the Jungle (2017) and Jumanji: The Next Level (2019). Other films in his filmography include Pena Ajena (2002), Bad Teachings (2011), and Nuestro Video Prohibido (2014).
The film is based on an original story by Hiram García, president of production at Seven Bucks Productions, a company he co-founded with Dwayne Johnson. The script was written by Chris Morgan, a frequent Seven Bucks collaborator and known for numerous Fast and Furious films.

How much did Red One cost?
According to a report by The Wrap, Red One’s budget has skyrocketed to $250 million. With that figure, the film would need to gross between $600 and $700 million to be profitable.
According to their sources, the problems are reduced to two topics: unprofessional behavior by “The Rock” during filming; his astronomical salary of $50 million, and the inexperience of the producers. However, a source close to Amazon and MGM stated that the cost did not rise as much as speculated and that an amount close to that was always approved.
The initial idea was for Red One to arrive on Prime Video during Christmas 2023. But during the summer of that year, and using the strikes in Hollywood as a pretext, the launch was postponed. The latter also changed, since instead of going directly to streaming, Red One will be seen in theaters.
