Enoxaparin is an anticoagulant that helps prevent blood clots. Enoxaparin is familiar with the name of blood thinner.

In fact, blood thinners do not actually thin the blood, but reduce the possibility of blood clots.

    Benefit

Enoxaparin is useful for preventing blood clots in patients who are on full rest or bed rest. This can also be in those who are undergoing hip surgery or knee surgery.

This medication can also be taken in combination with aspirin to prevent complications of angina (chest pain) and heart attacks. In addition, warfarin can also be used to treat blood clots in the legs.

Enoxaparin works by stopping the formation of substances that cause clotting.

    Side effects

Enoxaparin injectable solution may cause pain or bruising on the skin or at the injection site. This is more likely to occur when you first start taking the medicine or when your dose is increased. This medicine may also cause other side effects.

    Dose

Enoxaparin is usually given by injection just under the skin (subcutaneously) but not targeting the muscle. The dosage ranges from 10 to 14 days with 2 injections per day. The first use of enoxaparin (bottle) is used within 28 days.

Your doctor will usually tell you to use exosaparin exactly as they recommend. Do not inject more, less, or more often than your doctor tells you.

Equally important: Do not use if the medicine has changed color or contains other particles. If this happens, immediately ask your doctor or medical staff to replace it with a new medicine.

If you miss an injection, inject the missed dose as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule.

Do not inject a double dose to make up for a missed dose. Seek medical help immediately in case of overdose. An overdose can cause bleeding.

There are several diseases that can occur due to blood clots.

    Common Side Effects

    • Bloody.
    • Anemia (not having enough healthy red blood cells).
    • Pain and bruising at the site of the injection.
    • Fever.
    • Swelling in the legs.

If these effects are mild, they may go away within a few days or weeks. However, if they get worse or don’t go away, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

    Serious Side Effects

Call your doctor right away if you experience serious side effects. Serious side effects and symptoms may include the following:

    1. Stroke

Stroke may occur when you stop taking this medicine. Symptoms include:

    • Difficulty in speaking and understanding.
    • Loss of control or numbness in the face, arms, or legs.
    • Difficulty seeing with one or both eyes.
    • Headache.

    • Coughing up blood.
